Kauai and my NEW Adventures

Ciao Everyone!
I decided to start the blog with this picture I recently saw in a hotel.  It’s how I have tried to live my life and now it has even more meaning--I truly am a Wandering Nomad!  I just returned from a wonderful two weeks in Kauai with my dear friend, Robbie.  Please check out our photos below.

The day before I left my condo sold which had been on the market for three months.  “Yahoo!” I yelled.  So now I’m embarking on yet another adventure--some of which I’m not sure about.  BUT alas, I am signed up to teach English in Italy for a short period of time very soon.  “Another yahoo!”  I’ll keep you posted on all the details.  Please stay tuned as I continue to fulfill my dream of being a Wandering Nomad!

Okay, I know this gecko doesn't look real, but he was my buddy the entire time I was there.  Isn't his "smile" sweet:)

Robbie and Diane enjoying a fabulous dinner at Plantation Gardens Restaurant in Poipu.

The beauty always amazes me!

A little background--this is Hanalei on the north shore of Kauai.  In April of this year, they had a devastating rainstorm, 50 inches in 24 hours!  You can drive to the town of Hanalei, but you can't go any further because roads were wiped out, people were left stranded!  Very sad:(  It's one of my favorite places in the world.

This home is close to the Hanalei Pier and was completely destroyed by the rains.  See the car in the background!

Leaving on a happier note with another beautiful sunset.  Mahalo!

  1. Oh I LOVE Kauai! You are lucky to have spent 2 weeks there! And yes, so devastating what the floods have done. Ke'e Beach was one of our favorites! Hoping they can get some restoration underway and back to living the Aloha island life!

Congrats on Italy and the sale of the condo! That is awesome!!!!! As always, thank you for sharing your wonderful adventures!
