On the Road...again with Diane....

Well, I'm back in beautiful California.  I didn't say goodbye to Kauai because in the Hawaiian language you say, "a hui hou kakou."  Spending 8 months living on that beautiful island I learned a lot about the Hawaiian culture just like I learned about Mongolia, Cambodia, East Timor and Italy.  It certainly is different not being a tourist and I feel very lucky.  In looking at my photos you'll see the journey I took to end back in San Clemente at the cottage next door to the one I had before Covid.  I'm not in yet because they are remodeling...but I'm more than ready.  Again, I have met so many wonderful people on this journey.  In fact, today I had lunch at this French restaurant in San Clemente and the owner remembered me from before Cambodia.

I get around...enjoy the photos....

At the Hyatt in Poipu

An escaped parrot at the Hyatt...can you find it?

On this day I saw my first monk seal and a whale breaching...exciting!

The bike path is always my favorite and so is this house.

My good friend from high school, Kathy.

My landlords, Neill and Fely at the cottage who didn't want me to leave....

Lorraine taking me to the airport, Lihue to LAX and picked up a rental car close to midnight driving to Claremont!!!

But the next day got to finally meet my newest granddaughter, Stevie, 5mos:)

Montage at Laguna Beach

Christmas high tea with my good friend, Nancy at the Montage.

The grandkids:)

Well, had to buy a new car.  With all the shipping problems I might still be waiting for my car!

Sunset at Santa Barbara.  Am I on the road again?

Oh! yeah my road trip from Santa Barbara to way above San Francisco...Gualala.  The scariest road, Hwy 1, I have ever been on...9+ hours of just driving to get back to my good friend, Robbie's house in Santa Barbara.  Cliffs, no guardrail and uneven pavement...what was I thinking LOL

This is more like it...Dana Point.

The bike path of San Clemente waiting for my cottage to be ready....
