Queen Mary 2 and the English Cotswolds

Crossing the Atlantic on the QM2 from NYC to Southampton, England was just as much fun as the first time I did it.  I was with my good friend, Pat as we acknowledged the 110th anniversary of the Titanic to me driving on the left to enjoying the Cotswolds especially the quaint village of Castle Combe and finally ending up at The Roman Baths.

                                              Cheers to NYC!

It's always moving to see the Statue!
We were close to where the Titanic had perished 110 years ago                                              and the captain read from various ship logs as the Titanic issued its                                           last call.  It was very moving.
On board was a man whose relative was on the Titanic and he                                                 placed a wreath into the cold waters.

The flag was at half mast.  As a side note, we found out later that                                               it was iceberg season!

We had dinner with two lovely ladies from England, Ann and Kate.  It was the Roaring 20s and they looked fabulous!

                                                  Planes, trains, autos and boats....
Our first night was dinner at The Manor House in Castle                                                           Combe.  I was looking for Bridgerton!
Yep! that's me driving on the left!!!

One of his collections.

The fairy tale village of Castle Combe.  Made famous by Dr. Dolittle and other movies.  It's my favorite village in England.
We stayed at The Manor House in Castle Combe for two nights.
We were spoiled by the bathroom.
No village is complete without a cemetery...
...and a footpath leading to perhaps Alice?
We had to get Covid tested in Bath and why not end up at The                                                   Roman Baths.
To end the adventure with fish and chips, of course:)

Home to my little cottage in the beautiful village of San Clemente:)
