Happy New Year

I'm back in Mongolia and it's freezing!!!  I walked to school and it was -25F at 8am.  Last night it went all the way down to -38F.  It's fast becoming like the first winter when I was here in 2009-10.  But this too shall pass:)
Please watch this short video of throat singers.  This practice originated in Mongolia as well as a few other places.  It's fascinating to watch and hear throat singing
Tsagaan sar (celebration of the Lunar New Year) is fast approaching.  I hope to be part of a tour going out into the countryside to see the first sunrise of this important holiday.
