Celebrating my 70th birthday at Disneyland, CA and Mongolia

I'm back in Ulaanbaatar, but before I returned, I made a visit to Disneyland, CA with my family.  It was part of my 70th birthday celebration and I had a blast as you'll see from the photos!!!  This past weekend was my "birthday" weekend and I went out just on Sat. with some other teachers and staff to an exclusive ger camp in the countryside about an hour outside of UB, Terelj Lodge  So amazing!  Sunday, August 30th was my actual birthday and several of us went to this new hotel, Shangri-La, Café Park Restaurant for an unbelievable brunch.  It's one of a kind in UB.  I have also attached the website Shangri-La Hotel

I'm with my son, Brett, granddaughter, Shayne and nephew, Matt for a fun day!

My grandson, Bodhi.  Did you notice my ears?

The photo says it all!

This year Disneyland is celebrating its 60th year and I can remember when it first opened.  We watched on our black and white TV while Walt Disney presented the park to celebrities.  We didn't have to wait long before we enjoyed its magic.

Back in Mongolia...this is Terelj Lodge nestled in a beautiful park setting.  This camp has two very nice restaurants and many of the gers have ensuite bathrooms.  I think I may have to try traveling this way!

The Mongolian staff was enjoying some much deserved down time.

The rock formations are very unusual here.  It was nice just to find a spot and sit and enjoy the quiet.
Our camp is right below and off in the distance you can see other lodges.  They are basically geared for an international clientele.

I love the faces of the children:)
There I am at the Shangri-La with a crown on my head enjoying this fabulous birthday brunch with friends!
